The Folly Ferrets: A Legacy That Refuses To Die.
"Where do you go?...my lovely...Where do you go?...I wanna know, my lovely, I wanna know...Where do you go?...oh oh eh oh...I wanna know, oh oh eh oh...Where do you go?...oh oh eh oh...I wanna know". So sang No Mercy in the summer of 1997, at the time a summer lovin feel good hit with lyrics to match. Now, five years later, their words take on an alltogether darker, more sinister meaning for the fans of The Folly Ferrets. Since 1999 the Ferrets have been in hibernation with no sign of another LP opus. This website looks to keep their name a-burning for all their dedicated fans (all four of them).

The Folly Ferrets, An Introduction
Every generation has a band that reflects and encapsulates the spirit, soul and mood of their age. A band that can create songs that artistically redefine the very essence of music pushing at its boundaries and dragging the simple song into another realm previously unimaginable. A band that can fling musical stars into space while others look on with feelings of awe, amazement and, perhaps in some cases, bewilderment. The term 'genius' was made for bands like these. The Folly Ferrets were not one of these bands, they played fairly average 3 chord tunes that stumbled along in an innocuous enough manner. The term 'nothing special' was made for them. They released one album, 1999's 'Ferret', which about half a dozen people have ever heard. You could say the recording was rare but that would imply people were interested in it, this is not the case. This website is dedicated to their legacy and is for all those who remember them fondly - i.e. felix, john and sam (although there is some debate over whether john remembers them fondly).

The Folly Ferrets Petition
The Folly Ferrets have been away too long, way too long. Yes, there will always be those who disagree (and may i remind you its not big or clever to voice your opinion of these particular pages - this is a ferret lovin zone!) but there are enough of us to do something about the Folly Ferrets long absence. Which is why www.follyferrets.freeservers.com is setting up a petition for their return. Come on if we all stand together we can do it!!!
